Where the name comes from
Ben Arc told Bitcoin Magazine the name came to him spontaneously while a RaspiBlitz developer was visiting: 'I just sat on the sofa and I kept going, LNbits, LNbits, LNbits.' No further meaning is given. · Source (opens in a new tab)
Why it was built
Ben Arc: 'LNbits came out of necessity because a lot of us were replicating work', building separate versions of each project for every node implementation.
