Back up and migrate your events
Archive keeps an encrypted local copy of signed events your relays can still return. Download an event file and copy eligible events to another relay. Keep your key backup separately.
Before you start
- Unlock the extension and select the account whose events you want to save.
- Choose source relays and a safe place for your downloaded event file.
Steps
- Open Settings → Archive. Use the gear icon to review your source relays, then sync.
- Open See details to check each relay result. Retry failed or incomplete sources when needed.
- Choose Download archive to save signed events without a file password. Import the file into the matching account to restore events.
- Under Migrate archive, choose a destination and review optional event categories. Select Start migration, check eligible events, then Confirm.
Check the result
- Migration copies events without deleting your local archive or data on other relays. The destination may retain its copies.
- Uninstalling can remove the local archive. Keep a downloaded copy and back up your keys separately.
